Right to Read
Right to Read is a national programme to promote literacy and reading development for people of all ages and backgrounds. There are currently four national Right to Read programmes designed to promote children's reading and literacy. These are:
Spring Into Storytime
Spring Into Storytime is delivered online and in all libraries across the country in the month of April, with storytimes in the library for preschool and primary school aged children.
Summer Stars
Summer Stars is the free national reading programme for children that takes place in all public libraries and online each summer. It runs from 12 June to 31 August 2023.
Children's Book Festival
The annual Children’s Book Festival helps spread the enjoyment of books and reading among children and families, authors and illustrators, teachers and librarians all over Ireland.
Family Time at Your Library
A new reading initiative in your library this December!
